It's a Small World

Image
As someone who has travelled a lot, and who have friends who travel, I have had the opportunity to make friends all around the world.  This is both a blessing and a curse. It is so wonderful knowing people from different countries, it means I get to learn about life in other cultures and places. It sucks because of the time zones and trying to talk and catching up. it's hard when everyone is busy and you go weeks or months without talking. and sometimes years between visits. I am still learning how to keep in touch with everyone I love from around the world, sometimes I will message them, sometimes the other way around. It's even harder to find a date and place to meet up in especially if there is a group of us wanting to catch up. Money and time off work all play a part and when most people can meet up and two cant it just doesn't feel right. Sometimes you just have to do your best to keep the connections with people, and the connection you can keep wi...

Missing the Magic

Image
I have been back in my home country, Australia for exactly one month after living in America for over a year. And to my surprise, I am missing America and Disney A LOT more than I had intended. Now I knew I would miss my life in the USA. I made so many memories and friends and it was a defining year in my life overall. I learnt more responsibility, more about who I am and what I want in life. It gave me a chance to be more independent than I had ever been in the past and I loved it. And now I am missing it, so much. Going from living in another country and out of my parents home was amazing, and whilst they helped me A BUTT TON whilst I was overseas, it was nice to have the freedom to do what I wanted when. I wanted to. I still have that freedom now, I just feel a more restricted. For example, a week or so ago went out with a friend and had intended on coming back home that night, my friend and I were having so much fun and it got late that I just crashed at there, n...

Drink Around the World

Image
If you like to drink and love Disney then Drink Around the World is for you! Drinking around the World is an unofficial way to visit all the countries around the World Showcase lagoon in EPCOT. The idea is that in each of the 11 counties (12 if you count the African Trading post) you buy an alcoholic drink the represents that country. It's a lot of fun. There are many different unofficial guides on what drinks to buy and which ones are the best. This list is simply the drinks myself and my drinking buddy chose to have on this particular day. having lived in Disney I have had other drinks in these countries but for the purpose of this list, it's going to be what we drank for the challenge.  My recommendation is:  1) Start early so you can pace yourself  2) have a drinking buddy to split some of the drinks with.  3) NEVER START IN MEXICO  (This one is more a warning as I started in Mexico and it's not the best idea to start with tequil...

Walls of Walt Disney

Image
Walt Disney World is known for many things, rides, shows, food, magic. One thing that might not come to your head straight away is walls. well, let me tell you Disney has a TON of walls. In recent years Instagram has picked up on this trend and so the many walls of Disney have become a thing. I am just going to look at a few of my favourite walls in Walt Disney World. The Peter Pan Wall This first wall is super cute, it is where Peter Pan meets. The wall is a section of a map of Never Land. it is located in Fantasyland as you are about to pass the store Momento Mori on the Harbour House side.  The Blue Berry Wall This is the Ble Berry Wall. It is located in EPCOT, it can be found as you leave the exit for the Spaceship Earth Ride, right next to the Bubblegum Wall (See further down). Share Your Ears Wall This is the #ShareYourEars wall that is located in The Magic Kingdom, right next to the Purple Wall (see Further Down) there is one of these walls (or ...
