The Return of the Parentals


As you may know, I am currently living in America working for Walt Disney World. I have been living out of my home since January and haven't seen my parents since January 20th. That was until they came to visit me from July 1st to July 14th! It was so amazing seeing them again!


I was starting to feel extremely homesick around mid-June when most of my USA friends had left and my most of my roommates were also departing back to their own homes it was hard not to feel like I should be going home with them. Lucky for me I did have my parents coming to visit which did get me through my homesick phase by counting down the days till I was able to see them again. 


The very first thing we did together (After giving each of them the BIGGEST HUG I could) was to go eat dinner. We had a character dining buffet at the Swan and Dolphin resort on the boardwalk and it was VERY filling. The next day we did another character dining, this one was at Tusker House in Disney's Animal Kingdom. Once again I was STUFFED with food. 

























My Parents were also extremely kind and bought me tons of groceries for my house ( I may never have to go food shopping again) The same day they also handed me a suitcase full of my favourite Australia snacks like Chicken Chips, Cheese and Bacon Shapes and of course TimTams.


Whilst my parents were over we also spent plenty of times in the Parks, we went and tried the new Mrs Incredble Stretchy burger together (So good!). I attempted to teach my Dad where all the secret high score targets are in the Buzzlight Year Ride is so that he could become a galactic hero. Sadly he did not make it this time, he does have another chance at the end of the year to try again! 


We all went to the new Toystory Land in Disney's Hollywood Studios and rode Slinkies Dog Dash, it was a lot of fun. We also did lots of shopping, at Disney Springs, Florida Mall and some outlet malls as well. 

On their last night before leaving Florida, we went to Disney Springs and had dinner at The Edison. I miss them already and even though I am loving Disney so much right now, I am started to feel VERY homesick, I am so happy that I was able to see my parents again, even for the short amount of time. It is only 156 days until I see them and my sister again, however! But what more exciting? I see my Cat again in 188 days!

Recently I got back from holiday in Sydney and it was so much fun! I got to see so many iconic sights, you can go to my previous post and have a look at some of my pictures from my trip.  Whilst there I ate at a lot of really nice places, one of my favourites was Sweethearts Rooftop Bar. I went on a date here and it was beautiful, I loved the atmosphere and aesthetic. It was partly undercover with some open areas for dancing. Without sound too old, the music was a little loud to have a conversation at, however, we did go on a Saturday night so it may have been different in the middle of the week as it was more club-like the night I went.  Unfortunately, smoking was permitted on the rooftop bar as well, it was only in the open are parts, however, the rooftop is not huge so the smoke made its way over to where I was sitting pretty fast.   When looking at the bar online it said we needed to book, however when we arrived the bartender told us ...

My Current Goals in Life

My Life right now is absolutely wonderful! I am achieving one of my lifelong dreams of working for Walt Disney World and it is so amazing. I don't really have much else to update you on I just wanted to let everyone know how happy I am! I am also starting to plan and make steps towards achieving my next big goal, to live in New York City for at least a year! I have started to look at the average prices of apartments so I know how much I will need to save. I have also started looking at Jobs that I might be good at and also look interesting that are in New York City!  I have some smaller goals I am working towards at the moment as well, these include all my Disney Goals for the year that I have listed on my youtube channel. here are some of the others I have: 1) To become more fit and healthy      Ultimately I would like to weight between 50 and 55 kg, that is a weight loss of between 10 and 15kg! Homesick

As some of you know, as I seem to talk about it all the time, I have just spend a year in the USA working at Disney World. The exact dates of my being out of Australia are actually December 19 th 2017 to January 17 th 2019. And boy oh boy am I missing home. When this blog post goes live I will have been back in Australia exactly one day. So the list I am making now is everything I miss and am looking forward to seeing again when I get home. The first, and most important is my Cat, Tinker. I miss him so much and have been missing him since about June 2018. My cat and I are very close, he always sits or lays next to me when I am working on my laptop and will sleep on my bed. He is also just cute and fluffy and the more I type the more I miss him.
